I love having each and everyone of your children in class and am thankful for them every day. Classroom Happenings:
- Math 1.2 – We will begin Unit 5 reviewing different types of graphs and how to use the data to answer questions and gain more information
- Math 2.2 – We will practice subtracting 2 and 3 digit numbers with and without regrouping
- Phonics – Our spelling pattern this week are words with ow and ou (shout, mouse, how, town, etc…)
- Reading – We will be reviewing point of view this week. We will listen to a different story each day and practice identifying who is telling the story and how we know (click the link to listen to the story if you’d like)
- Tuesday – The Day the Crayons Quit
- Wednesday – Memoirs of a Goldfish
- Thursday – They All Saw a Cat
- Friday – Seven Blind Mice
- Grammar – Our grammar skill this week is reviewing pronouns and when to use them in our writing
- Writing – We will continue practicing opinion writing. They are doing an amazing job and really seem to enjoy this unit!
- Social Studies – We will be learning about George Washington Carver (The Peanut Man!) and how he made life better for people in our country
