- March 12 – No School (Teacher Work Day)

- April 5-9 – No School (Spring Break)
Classroom Happenings:
- Math 1.2 – Reviewing place value (tens and ones) and comparing numbers ( <, >, =) using base ten blocks
- Math 2.2 – Solving addition and subtraction word problems within 1000
- Phonics –oi and oy words (ex: coil, boil, boy, toy). See spelling list attached
- Reading – Our focus skill next week is identifying the main idea using questioning and retelling strategies. Our story is A Bad Case of the Stripes (click to listen to the story).
- Writing – We will begin a new unit next week on creative narrative writing. Next week we will focus on character development
- Grammar – We will continue learning about pronouns and when and how to use them in our writing
- Science – We will be learning about plants and their needs
