Thank you all for another amazing week of URL. I really appreciate your help in giving the iReady diagnostic. I know it was a lot of work on you guys, but I now have valuable data that will assist me in teaching your children this year. I am truly thankful for your help!
Labor Day
Just a reminder that Monday (9/7) is Labor Day! We will not be assigning activities or meeting live at all on Monday. I hope you all enjoy the break, and I am looking forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday!
Phase 1
If your child is participating in phase 1, that will begin on Tuesday, September 8th. Students that will normally attend on Monday will begin September 14th.
Small Groups
Small groups will begin next week. An email was sent on Thursday that gave additional information about our small group meetings. I will also posted an announcement in your child’s small group channel in Microsoft Teams with the times we will be meeting.
Graded Assignments
Next week, we will be grading the following assignments:
Math:
Summative: Beach Graph assignment in Seesaw on Wednesday
ELA:
Formative: Cloudy with a chance of meatballs retelling assignment in Seesaw on Thursday
It is vital that your child complete these assignments independently. I will explain the directions prior to sending them to complete the assignment. While you may help them with the directions, we ask that you allow your child to complete the work on their own. I am not looking for perfection, but it is extremely important that I am able to see what your child is capable of doing on their own. Please be aware that I am still collecting valuable data from the other assignments, even if I do not take a formal grade.
Spelling Words for this week – Review:
Short a Words:
Cat, hat, bag, van, cab, ham, bat, mat, can, man
Short i Words:
Pig, fin, lid, bib, sit, fin, bin, big, hit, fig, fit

Thanks and have a great weekend!
