Thank you all so much for your patience as we all learn how to navigate this new remote learning environment!
· Attached to this email, you will find a detailed schedule for next week. Please take time to review this schedule with your child.
Learning Packets
Per Fulton County, we will be using the learning packets differently beginning next week. In an attempt to alleviate confusion, we will not be assigning specific pages from the learning packet, for the time being. You will notice in the weekly schedule that during independent work time, students may choose a page/pages from the packet to complete. When your child completes pages from the packet, you may choose to either post the completed pages on Seesaw or you may turn the packet in when you pick up a new packet for the following week.
As stated in Ms. Cooke’s email, packets for the following week will be put out on Thursday at 3:00 PM and will remain outside until the following Thursday. You will need to pick up a new packet each week.
Science and Social Studies
In order to give your child more flexibility in their schedule, we will be doing science and social studies on Seesaw next week, rather than having a live session. On Seesaw, students will watch an embedded video on the topic and then complete some sort of activity aligned to what they are learning. The attached schedule shows this new change, but I wanted to make you aware that students will be finished with whole group instruction when we finish ELA at 10:15.
Small Groups
We are still assessing student’s learning needs, so I will not be meeting with students in small groups. I will be reaching out to explain more about small groups at a later date.
Bingo Boards
You will find the optional bingo boards attached to this email. The bingo boards will change monthly.
